| Currently Master student, I am working on the classification of regulatory regions in the human genome. In my approach, I am training a support vector machine to distinguish between regulatory and non-regulatory sequences, based on structural and statistical DNA propertry values. After establishing a solid promoter recognition system I will move on to distal regulatory regions and hopefully be able to detect/validate new enhancers in the human genome. |
